The other apps weren't built for coaches like me.
I coach basketball in Montreal. For years I juggled spreadsheets for the roster, WhatsApp groups for communication, separate payment apps to collect fees, and paper notes for practice plans.
The apps that existed were either too expensive, too complex, or designed for professional teams with budgets and support staff. Nothing for a community-level coach doing everything themselves.
